Nowadays you can power and recharge most things with a simple USB connection, and lighters are no exception. Welcome to the world of Electric Arc Lighters. Also known as Plasma lighters, these flameless ignition boxes work by surging electricity between two conducting electrodes. The air between the two electrodes becomes ionised creating a visually mesmerising, but also very hot, blue arc. The most practical benefit of using a flameless Arc Lighter over traditional gas lighters lies in it’s wind-resistance. Try blowing out an electric current. Environmentally friendly, consistently ignites, and on a full charge (which takes about 2 hours) can last for about a week, or 200 uses. Although our favourite is the Gold Bullion Arc Lighter, it comes in a vast array of shapes, colours, and sizes to suit your style.

Its beauty is in its simplicity. This stainless steel Two Piece British Army Folding Pocket Knife carries only the essentials; a heavy-duty sheepsfoot blade, a tin-opener, and an integrated screwdriver. The Two Piece British Army Knife is made in Sheffield using traditional materials and techniques. Sheffield has been a world centre for fine-knife making since the 14th century giving this pocket knife not only everyday utility but also a strong British heritage.

Little known but somewhat celebrated as curiously strong peppermints, they are a great alternative to other brands on the market. The other real winner is the useful tin itself. We’ve seen people carrying all sorts of things besides mints in these tins; from fishermen using them for hooks, urban preppers and their survival gear and electronic enthusiasts holding fuses and components. It sure does come in handy for storing things or packing something to protect it from a hard knock or weather damage.

Bellroy’s Note Sleeve Wallet is one of our all time favourite cash carriers. It’s made from premium vegetable tanned leather made under world-class environmental stewardship standards. It’s durable, feels amazing, ages beautifully, and it holds bank notes, coins (if you’re into that), and up to 11 cards. Holding that much stuff you’d think it’d be a bulky mess, however this is where the slim Note Sleeve Wallet excels, mainly down to Bellroy’s innovative pull tab system allowing you to stack cards together out of sight while easily being able to access them with a quick pull of a tab. It also has 3 quick-access card-slots for your most used cards in the front, and in the billfold pocket you’ll find yet another card-slot, and a concealed flap-protected pocket that you can securely store coins in. It’s like the swiss-army knife of the wallet world. Coming in eight stunning colours, there’s sure to be at least one you’ll fall in love with, and if you’re a security-freak wanting your contactless cards on lockdown – they also offer an RFID protected version

The Gerber Shard is a lightweight multitool. This key-sized, flight friendly, shard of nitride coated titanium features a bottle opener, philips screwdriver, two sizes of flathead screwdriver, a wire-stripper, nail-puller, and it’s a mini-crowbar. It’s also pretty much indestructible. I’ve personally had this on my keyring and it’s been one of the most useful things I’ve carried.

Taking minimalism to a whole new level, the Keybrid is a beautiful fusion of form and function. The Keybrid arrives like any other blank key that you get cut to your unique lock, only this one you’ll want to Instagram – but don’t, not after it’s cut anyway… there’s some creepy people out there.
